ARTIST STATEMENT
All my work starts with a concept and every technical consideration and aesthetic judgement is driven from that initial idea. Always trying to keep the work clean and uncluttered…with no superfluous visual ornamentation. Subject matter can have an extremely wide range… from text driven pieces… to common objects given a surrealistic visual twist. Material can also have a wide range from using duct tape to x-ray film. I enjoy this complete freedom of expression working from quick sketches drawn on scraps tossed on the studio floor….and some of these ideas might turn into sculptures …if by chance…an idea gets stuck to the bottom of my shoe.
